Poetry collections
Poetry book formatting for Kindle and ePub
In poetry, every line break and indent is a choice. We hand-code collections so your lines break where you intended, even when a reader enlarges the font on a small phone.
- Line breaks and indents preserved
- Long lines wrap with a hanging indent
- Stanza spacing that survives reflow
- Linked poem-by-poem table of contents
Why poetry is the hardest text to format
Automated converters treat each line of a poem as a paragraph, adding space after every line or collapsing your indents. On small screens, long lines wrap and look like new lines. We code each line individually and give wrapped lines a hanging indent, so readers can always tell where your line actually ends.
What's included
- Line-by-line coding with preserved breaks
- Hanging indents for wrapped lines
- Custom indentation and concrete-poem layouts on request
- Linked table of contents by poem
- EPUB 3 and Kindle-ready files with QA

Poetry formatting FAQ
Can poetry look right on a Kindle?
Yes, when it's hand-coded. We preserve line breaks and indentation and use hanging indents so wrapped lines are clearly continuations.
What about shaped or visual poems?
Visual poems that depend on exact positioning can be placed as high-resolution images or built in fixed layout. We'll recommend the best option.
