Problems we fix every week
| Symptom | Usual cause |
|---|---|
| KDP quality notice: formatting issues | Hidden Word formatting, missing TOC, or inconsistent styles |
| Table of contents doesn't link | TOC built with page numbers instead of links |
| Random blank pages | Empty paragraphs or manual page breaks |
| Blurry or tiny images | Low-resolution or floating images |
| Fonts change mid-book | Pasted text carrying its own fonts |
| Apple Books / Kobo rejected the EPUB | EPUBCheck validation errors or missing metadata |
| Text runs off the screen | Fixed widths, text boxes, or wide tables |
Updating a live book is safe
Replacing the manuscript of a published Kindle book doesn't remove your reviews, ranking, or ASIN. Once we deliver the fixed file, you upload it in KDP under Edit eBook content, and Amazon reviews it again, typically within 72 hours.

Fix formatting errors FAQ
Amazon sent a quality notice about my book's formatting. What do I do?
Send us the notice and your manuscript or current file. We rebuild the eBook to fix the reported issues and any others we find, then you replace the file in KDP.
Will updating my Kindle file remove my reviews?
No. Uploading a corrected file keeps your ASIN, reviews, and sales rank. Amazon re-reviews the new file before it goes live.
Can you fix an EPUB that fails EPUBCheck?
Yes. We correct the invalid code, metadata, and navigation, then validate the file before delivery so Apple Books, Kobo, and other stores accept it.
